The Summer Season

Spring seems to be taking root here in Provo and it is a reminder that there is seasonality in the pursuit of the business. As warm weather descends over the United States it is not unusual for distributors to become distracted; picnics, vacations, family gatherings, everything that summer is known for push their way to the forefront of our thoughts. As a consequence oftentimes the business begins to slowdown. 

For those who are seeking to have success at the highest level it is important to consider the value of working while others don't. It is in this period of time that market share rearranges itself and is perhaps deposited into someone else's hands. You can see this type behavior taking place in the larger society around the recent recession. Fear and concern about the future holds some people prisoner but within every industry there is a group that is working through this moment of time so when business activity returns to normal, their percentage within their industry has grown. While we are not afraid of the future, the concept is the same. Many people slowdown while the few speed up. Oftentimes those who have chosen this more aggressive path don't see the full benefit of their labor until fall. But there will be a benefit. The choice is with all of us but summer is a good time to do the business even if the results are delayed. We have talked about this in the past but that doesn't change the importance as we enter into the summer months that there is a consequence to our behavior. That is especially true in periods of rapid growth.
